Reforging simulator
 

Is there an addon that allows you to simulate how reforging will affect your stats, without actually spending the gold? I've found an online tool at http://wowreforge.com/, but I find the interface to be unintuitive, and an in-game tool would be much more convenient.

Reforgenator on Curse, not sure about the simulation part.

I'm not looking for something that will automatically reforge for the optimal stats based on my spec. I want to decide myself what to reforge; I just don't want to spend hundreds of gold trying out different combinations.

Reforgenator doesn't automatically do the reforging (at least, not so far as I've seen, while opening it at the reforging vendor).

It merely suggests which items to reforge, and what stat to what stat, based on the stat weights in it's modules, which are fully editable (and you can create new modules, as well).

I don't know of any addon currently that will simulate reforging for manual adjustment of which stats to reforge, tho'.

Pawn does the same thing.

www.chardev.org works pretty well with reforging, was using that to work out how I could hit cap without gemming for hit.

Yes, it tells you the cost at the bottom of the reforging window.
