The ring thing
Hi guys (and girls?!),
Maybe some of you have noticed, I am currently working on a new project that is about bringing rings to WoW. The first step is finished: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...heRingMod.html What I am planning to do is to bring this technique to oUF. So ring-like unitframes that fill radial without using a massive texture spam are possible now. I used Iriels StatRing approach. The ring is divided into segments that which be calculated on their own. If you are interested read my blog. I had a lot of fun doing it but the *goddamn* SetTexCoord nearly drove me crazy. So expect some kind of ring layout here in near future. Oh ... is there some kind of "PostUpdateHealth" for Castbars aswell? I need to deliver the value to the function after it is known. *edit* some examples: Orb-like Two half-rings Full health and manaring |

For the PostUpdate function for castbar, I found PostCastStart, PostCastFailed, PostCastInterrupted, PostCastDelayed, PostCastStop, PostChannelStart, PostChannelUpdate and PostChannelStop in elements/castbar.lua. Maybe I haven't seen one but I don't think. |
Working on the first layout, expect an upload soon. It will be pretty damn basic but I just want to give some examples on how to do the rings. Stuff like debuffs/portraits and such are details of no interest atm.

Looks awesome Roth, though it might be that I'm temporary blind on one eye this week but the edges gets odd when its scaled down.
Anyways, good job :) |
Fantastische! An attractive implementation of all those yummy maths and diagramming I read a while back. =D
