Short answer, yes. It's a very small chance unless you try to sign up within the last couple months before launch. Blizzard just wants to cover their tails in case someone that applies doesn't meet their requirements or people attempt to join when they're trying to wrap things up.

If you're talking about the first batch of 50 people, I don't think they'll ignore that list.

They used to give you a list of keys to hand out. I guess too many people got extras and gave them to friends.

As I can say, my account was flagged for Legion a week later after Cairenn has send the first batch to Blizzard. Looks like Blizzard decide randomly.
Currently I can play the alpha / beta of Legion and at the moment I check the changes to the UI-Code. Unfortunately, at present there is the interface code does not export because the console does not open. Should this change with the next builds I will also upload according to the current snapshot, so that all have access to it.

Maybe you got selected for a random invite, no one else here seems to have gotten anything yet.

Actually I'm not. Being in my 50's my memory isn't as good as it use to be. I find myself with dozens of post-it-notes all over the place.

I don't think Blizzard has gotten around to processing the list(s) so anyone on it that has gotten an invite has just bee lucky.

Yes, everyone is eager to get their hands on some Legion to do some testing and addon development but, come on people you need to be patient. Every expansion the great staff gets keys and people eventually get in. Continuously asking when is not going to speed up the process. Two batches of emails have been sent out and thus it's up to Blizzard when they add your name to the list if at all.

I was excited when I managed to be second in line at this giveaway, but now it's a moot point. Still waiting to get flagged. :rolleyes:

I felt the same way with having ID 3, but maybe this week is the lucky one!

If we're flagged for invites "when addons are enablef" and Blizzard are still calling it alpha, I wouldn't hold my breath.

The post I responded to was removed by the user. I was just explaining that if people in the first batch haven't been flagged yet, don't expect it to happen soon.

It's weird, i got into every alpha game released by Blizzard up to date. But not into Legion yet, so fingers crossed. :)

Yeah, at this point i think they're just holding off on adding anyone from these batches until beta starts or addons get enabled or any sort of combination of those.

I just got my invite to "alpha". I'm not sure if this is a lucky occurrence from their beta opt-in program or if they're starting to let addon authors in.

No invite here yet so probably a random invite.

Or they got really tired of my feedback from previous betas and I'm on a "special" list. :p Gratz on getting in!

But I imagine we're pretty close.

I guess the test is if addons are truly enabled. Either way, enjoy.

It keeps popping up with "Insecure" in the addon list as to why it isn't loading anything. I guess that means they still have them turned off.

I was 124 got into Alpha today. It appeared on the launcher. On your account page it appears as another PTR account, in my case [WoW4] .

At this point I don't know if they're cherry-picking people from the lists sent or if the invites that have been given out are from the beta opt-in on the BNet account page.

I do not know what Caireen negotiated; maybe or maybe not......

Addons are not enabled on the alpha yet so they're not yet adding the authors that Cairenn submitted (and I'm certain they'll continue to be submitted throughout the beta).

It will probably happen when they switch from alpha to beta.

That would be the reason why most of the submissions haven't been given invites yet. There's no reason why they couldn't be letting a few of us in early for reasons already stated. I'd like to think my knowledge of the way their UI code works have helped many people on the forums and even given suggestions on what Blizzard should do to implement fixes to errors in the default UI.

Meanwhile in the wilds of Legion alpha...
