Need some help with viewports...

Okay... I need a little help here with viewports if anyone can pitch in.

I have figured out how to make nUI support dual displays to a degree. However, I'm having an issue with aspect ratio.

As you can see from the first of the two attached screen shots, I can make WoW span both monitors (each 1680x1050) and produce a single 3360x1050 display and I have oriented the world frame in the left half of the display and the user interface in the right half of the display.

The problem is that the the aspect ratio of the display space is not reflecting the window size (3360x1050), it is reflecting the display size (1680x1050) and as a result, instead of having two displays, I really just have one display stretched across two. If I maximize the WoW window in just one display, you can see that I have the exact same screen, just half as wide and with a proper aspect ratio.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get WoW to recognize the wider display size or to fix the aspect ratio that WoW is using for the WorldFrame and UIParent frames?

I'm all ears for suggestions here.

(note: I had to resize the 3360x1050 image to a width of 1920 for WoWI to accept it)

In your first screenshot, this is because you don't have the correct resolution selected in the Video options. There is a special way to make WoW work across dual screen (to have WoW recognize the resolution) involving the graphics drivers, etc. I prefer to use my second screen for irc and coding, so I have never really read through these instructions.

/edit: I did a quick google for it, and found the post here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...9PBa22iYO0TJQv

Yeah -- I'm thinking that this might be a limitation of my nVidea driver under Windows7 -- I have the option for display 1, display 2, clone or dual display. However, the latter does not give me the option to "stretch" across displays and WoW does not see a "1330x1050" resolution which is, I suspect, why I can't get the aspect ratio right.

I'm going to guess at this point that there's nothing I need to do in my code to make it work, it's all in the O/S and display settings being made available to WoW to support it.

It would be nice if there were a way to tell WoW what aspect ratio to use though.
