Mod Request: QuestSort
 

Is there a way to make a mod (or slightly modify ShardSort) to sort all Quest Items picked up to a bag?

Reason: Im an orginization nut. I have my soul shard bag, my quest item bag, my consumables bag, and then the other 2 are for loot. I'd love for a mod that automatically moves quest items to a chosen bag like ShardSort does. Is this possible?

I believe there was (at one point or another) something called "Mage Hand" in Cosmos that did more or less what you are describing. Whether it is still there and whether anyone has created any other similiar mod, I'm not certain. An auto-sort for bags would be very handy though, I must agree. :)

Last I checked it was not currently in cosmos.. I think I still have a copy of it but it didn't work... always wondered what that part did.

ah. i was never a fan of Cosmos. Origionally it was because it had "too much stuff", which is hillarious considering how many standalone mods i use now. I prefer gypsy's modular set up.

if i were skilled in programming/scripting id make this, but i dont have a clue where to begin. I just think a ui that lets you sort items that are tagged something specific (food, quest, crafting, color/quality, etc) would be amazing and widely used.

There is an AddOn called "Advanced Bags" that is, unfortunately, dependent on Cosmos and not really finished yet. The idea is great though, it sorts your items according to category (like quest, mining, blacksmithing, alchemy, etc.) into virtual bags automatically.

There is another one called "Auto-Bag" that is very promising, it organizes certain items into certain bags.

These are available... on other sites. ;)

I color code my bags, one for tailoring, one for first aid, one for trade supplies, one for quest items etc...It's not automatic but this system works for me as a manual organization tool.
