BC Beta Invites Question?
 

ok so i am a mod author here have had it on the site for a bit ..... the day the BC keys giveaway was posted on the site i singed up but noticed after that my addon was out of date here so i uploaded a newer version etc..... its been about 2 days now and i still dont have an invite .. if i am going to get one that is.......

just wondering about an estimate on how long it takes for it to go through and one to be mailed out ... if anyone knows this it woul;d be helpfull

Did you apply for the key after your mod was updated and moved back to the appropriate download category?

it was before i updated accidently ......i noticed it was out of date after and right away i updated it

think you could give me a hand in getting one if i messed it up?

I believe I heard someone say that Blizz sends out keys on Tuesdays (along with maintenance). Of course I could be wrong :)

Has anybody from the US gotten theirs?

Not gotten mine yet. I was worried it was my e-mail but I have no spam filters on it as I get no e-mail on it except from Blizzard.

I'm freakishly paranoid that a) I didn't get signed up/didn't qualify for whatever reason/typo'd my email address, or b) that my spam filter ate/will eat my email.

Just got my key aswell *downloads beta*

Pretty much the same boat here, but when I sit at a desk all morning watching my e-mail NOT have a beta key in it, I get all anxious. :P

I am still anxious lol. So much so I forgot to get something done and had to rush lol. O.o

Now back to presing the check mail button (It auto checks every min but every seonds counts)

For the guy below, my email is s#####@b####.net.au so domain name pretty early in alphabet.

Just to satisfy the number-cruncher in me, are those of us without keys still near the end of the alphabet, and/or are our domain names near the end of the alphabet?

email starts with an h. I have gmail. I haven't gotten my key yet :(

I just knew I should have signed up with my [email protected] email address!

Seriously though, I'm o...@y... and no key yet (US).

Everyone that has said they have their key so far has a) been EU and b) was on the last list, so obviously they are processing them in reverse order. Not to mention the fact that I'm not the only one submitting names, there are other fansites out there that are holding contests and giving out keys that way. Plus, when I got my key, it was late in the evening my time, like 10 in the evening.

Hang in there guys. If you don't get them within the next couple days, then I'll start looking into it.

No biggie for me Cair, I was just answering Hallithron :P.

Besides, I have Gears of War to keep me busy for the time being :D

Has another batch of names been sent? or being sent? Just wondering because I have uploaded my mods yesterday and just wondered what the time scale is roughly.

Just out of curiosity, does the email addy on the account have to match your wow one. I just changed mine over to the one I use for WoW just in case.

Of course, the new patch is just around the corner with all the juicy UI changes in it.

BTW do you guys screen the mods before passing the name to Blizz?

As a matter of fact, the mod I published doesn't work out-of-the-box and I'm still working on a user guide, but I submitted anyway due to the hunger for beta key (being honest here) and I know entirely that my mod won't work in the beta so I wanted the key as soon as possible.

Just wondering if this affect my eligibility. (I'm definitely going to have user-friendly version up soon, but just not yet... I swear though that it actually DOES work as it is at the moment just that you need to figure out hard time how to use it :P)

And no, I didn't just made it to get the beta key (yes, I uploaded for the key, but no I didn't just make it). :)

Gawd I hope so... I signed up almost a week ago now (1st day it was offered) and still no key. I'm beginning to believe that only people in USA or EU will get one. Canada, Australia, Asia are all hooped :(

I submitted my mod around 2AM New Zealand time Saturday, which is like Friday morning for you guys.

Not that I've seen. I've heard the EU have gotten some, other than that, I haven't heard much.

im guessing that they only send them out on tuesday. they got swamped with keys this week from all the contests and couldnt finish them so theyre going to wait until next week. :(

Im sorry to say, but its bull****, ive been checkin my spam folder very carefully and havent seen anythiing. Maybe its your email thats went to their spam folder ;)

id suggest they look into it more carefully on their side.

Confirmed, I submitted before monday and havent got anything and havent seen anyone from the us on these boards that have recieved one either.

there are US keys given out. my friend who told this about signed up sunday and received his around noon yesterday.
