I don't think that Phanx has breasts on her chin...

Also, who cares what Phanx' looks like. Judging from her achievements and overall persona, she's a winner.

I suppose her partner! And I imagine she looks the kind of person that has a lot of cats

Why does it matter? Is it just because she's a girl on the internet? I've never seen the same level of obsession over a male here. ;)

I'm extremely tempted to Photoshop this, but I don't know that Cairenn would approve of me posting the result...

Torhal 12-13-14 03:03 AM

This thread has delved into some dark places.

Vlad 12-13-14 03:30 AM

"Need help with addon" became "Torhal with breasts" - wut?

That would fall under the category of things that cannot be unseen.

I like to live an open life so here ya go. Plus I just woke up so.....

MoonWitch 12-15-14 08:31 PM

... I have nothing, seriously I have nothing.... This thread went from wut to wtf in NO time :P

Also : Why is it that men seem to obsess over a girl on the internet, admittedly she is totally awesome and if she were lesbian - hell I'd try. But then again, nothing bad ever came of harmless innuendo just for giggles. (Although there was this one time... yeah.)

And uhm, thanks - I can now go to bed with Torhal with faceboobs in my head? Thanks - a lot.... Yeah. Torhal, I like you - but not with faceboobs, it looks odd somehow. Especially with the beard on top.

Strange, isn't it? I would like to see how Vlad looks like. Instead of the scary cat. :D

We have to obsess over something, might as well be the girls/ladies of WI.

If it is any consolation, I am still looking for brain bleach (no offense Torhal).

I am curious about a number of WI folks. Men and women. I'm curious how close to their avatars they are.

In my case? Pretty damn close. :D

"Somehow," as in, you're not quite sure why faceboobs would look odd?

I always imagine "Vlad" is short for "Vladimir Putin the Impaler". I'm sure your brain will now helpfully supply the appropriate mental image. :D

I actually had something like that in my head. Let's say a mix of http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...DF&FORM=IQFRBA and http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...electedIndex=0. That's why. :)

No offense meant, Vlad. ;)

One down, many to go. Maybe some year I will make it to Blizzcon.

I'm actually just me on my github profile (gravatar) .. so easy to find :P

SDPhantom 12-19-14 09:17 PM

I have an old picture of me on my website. I haven't done anything on it in ages. Don't trust the copyright year, that's running off the PHP date() function (and so is my age calculation on the About Me page). I really need to get to updating it one of these days. 4 years on hiatus is way too long.

Long story short, on my test server, I have a script that parses the RSS feed on my addon list here on WoWI.

I spent most of my time in a dark room or working at night back then. The latest test build I had for my website used CSS3 gradient backgrounds and semitransparent backgrounds for block objects. I also had a floating banner and link list.

I guess the same thing happened with my website that happens with most of my other projects. I get bored and lose interest way too easily.

PS: Talking about the old days reminded me of this GIF image I've had ever since I first started working on websites.

Now if only there was a version with a computer tower and a flat panel instead of a desktop and a CRT. Oh, how the times have changed.

Indeed... the last time I had a literal "desktop" computer like that, it was accompanied by a monochrome (black/amber) monitor and a very large dot-matrix printer.

SDPhantom 12-20-14 03:10 AM

My parents had an Epson 286 desktop with a color monitor. Personally, my first computer was an IBM 486/66DX2 and it was a tower.

10leej 12-20-14 04:10 PM

My first computer was a Dell and it was sold to me by some guy named Steve. He talked like some skateboarder or something like always saying "Dude your getting a dell"

Poor Steve wound up in a mental hospital when I got rid of that old Dell.

Xrystal 12-20-14 06:16 PM

Our first family computers were an Amstrad CPC 464 and Commodore 64 way back in the late 80s, shared between me and my 3 brothers. But my first personal computer was a Dell back when I was 22 and did programming professionally. I keep trying to get back into proper programming since I stopped a long time ago but my current job doesn't give me time to relax let alone give my brain an extra work out rofl. So writing addons help me keep the basics in practice. My website also hasn't been touched in what probably amounts to years for the same reason.

Lost count of the number of computers since then but now we all have a computer each rofl even my parents.

As to the interest in women and the internet, I think it is also the fact guys are surprised how many of us there are that can program and *shock* play games that used to be the realm of the Y gene.

And to keep on topic .... haha, good joke. I actually sat on that first page waiting for a screenshot to load in that big gap .. rofl.

The first PC I used was an Apple IIE. The first one I owned was a Commodore 64 with a converter to use a TV for a monitor.

The very first computer I used was a IBM 360:

Then I used a Bell and Howell Teletype to connect to a Honeywell Mainframe:

Yes, I am a little older than some of you and maybe not so with others. :)

Didn't Dell have that running as their TV commercial for a while?

But which kind of floppy disk was it? How endless was it?!

I miss flipping through boxes of 5.25" floppies. They made such a nice papery sound.

I dunno. I never had a TV that didn't watch local news.
