When they first added that in beta i think I crapped myself when it went off. I wear headphones and it was insanely loud.
Like Voodoo said, I was ready for it and it scared the beejeepers out of me and I think I'm a little deaf now.

Wonder if it's possible to find out the path to the soundfile and replace it with a.. ehm.. quieter one?

oh, i was thinking there was some cool incame little sideways Triangle thingy that you see on VCRs... oh I mean bluray players :P lol. I dont ever see the launcher... not because I dont like it, because its jsut easier to pin wow client to my taskbar, that way the pinnned launcher and the active wow window dont both show up, giving me 2 wow symbols

Alternatively, instead of pinning it to your taskbar, you can pin it to your Start menu.
