Create buff/debuff frame w/o unit frame
 

Is it possible to create buff/debuff frame w/o unit frame ?

I'm going to write a addon showing only buffs/debuffs of units (player, focus, target, bossN), is it possible to do it using oUF ?

oUF will hide default unitframes if you spawn for example the player frame.

You should really use Blizz SecureAuraHeader for it, that's what it's designed for.

Although it's quite limited when it comes to filtering.

I'm using another ouf addon for unit frame, and don't care about cancel buffs in combat.

And maybe I can modify oUF to add an option to not hide bizzard's unit frame

Then why are you trying to use oUF for it? oUF literally stands for otravi's Unit Frames (otravi being haste's old nickname, the original creator).

You're probably better off creating your own buffs from scratch, like I did (bonus: those are secure).
