Challenge! MSN/iTunes mod (legal?)
 

Hi,
First of all I would like to clarify if a mod is safe to run w/o breakings blizz's terms.

The mod I have in mind would be used so that, if you have MSN messenger or iTunes running behind WoW, there could be an icon on fubar that flashes when you have a new IM and you could click it to put something like "I'm Listening to 'Song Name' by 'Band Name' " into an open chat box.

If this mod IS legal then I think it would be a really good mod to have, if not then I'll forget about it. Or if someone else has already created this mod then maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

Not possible via LUA...you cannot interact with programs outside of WoW itself.

Use xfire instead of msn if you want to chat while you play games, and if you have a mac WoW has iTunes controls for it already.

Yeah but what about my friends who don't play wow - and no - im on windows? is ther no way to make a mod like this?

Xfire isn't just for use in-game, you can use it anytime. And you can't make a mod that does anything with an external application like iTunes. I wish you could though :(
