As part of my contract I ended up getting a good number of copies, so I'm planning to run some kind of contest or something to give a bunch of them away! Suggestions are welcome. I'll end up announcing something on the atlasmod.com forums (and here as well). *sigh* American editors - "with an HUD" it should be "with a HUD" !

The letter "H" is not a vowel nor is it even silently pronounced unless you speak in slang but either way, the word "an" should only be used in front of vowels.

Anyway, good luck with book :)

But it *would* be "an" if it were spelled out like an acronym: an H-U-D

"an" is used in front of "vowel sounds" not exclusively vowels. It is also used in front of voiced "h" syallables where such syllables are secondary or lesser stress.

However, you are correct in this case, it should be "a HUD"
