RIP Steve Jobs

Love Apple or not, Steve had a major influence on the world we live in. Our condolences to his family.

* Do not turn this into a Apple vs PC vs ... flame-fest, please and thank you.

I remember learning to program on an Apple II.

Jobs, you were a crazy bastard, but you were also brilliant. You forever changed how people thought of computers. You stole ideas, and yet made them become visions.

Modern computers, and modern computer users, owe you so much more than we'll ever know.

You made today possible, and for that we'll miss you.

Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. In nomine patre, et fili, et spiritu sancti, amen.

Requiescat in pace.

You will be missed.

I was never much of an Apple person, but I'd have to be a complete idiot to not admit that Steve Jobs is one of the people that shaped the wonderful world of technology we live in today. He may be gone, but his legacy remains.

It's always sad when someone goes away, especially someone that in some way has affected people.

Aftermathhqt 10-06-11 07:36 AM

R.I.P Steve Jobs.

Coote 10-06-11 08:17 AM

I never really cared much for him or Apple, but he is responsible for Pixar, and you can't be a human and NOT love Pixar. :'(

Ahhh, Steve Jobs gets a "Boondock Saints" reference. RIP

Taryble 10-06-11 11:36 AM

Actually, it's a liturgical latin (ie Catholic ) reference - "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost".

*Holy Spirit, Amen.

Thank you for the correction. I was tired and in a lot of pain when I wrote that. :>
