I use /nui maxauras 15 if I have a pet, /nui maxauras 20 if I don't

Carbonite

Howdy...

Today I installed the full version of Carbonite and it seems to break the Mini-map and map buttons in nUI. The "Quest-Only" version works fine. I know you are a busy guy but I was wondering if this could be added to your laundry list.

Thanks!
O

In carbonite full version options under mini map uncheck the first 2 that will allow the minimap to go back to where it belongs. otherwise the full version places the mini map within the map itself and has its own button manager

Well, so far so good, 5.0.3 is working fine so far in live. Clicked all over the show before my 25 man naxx raid and no freezing ..

What I did notice is that in the 25 man set up at least, where your unit frame is displayed at the bottom of the screen, the debuff icons are displayed too far right and covers up the group number you are in which our raid uses to identify sides of the thaddius fight and spore groups. Maybe snag them over slightly if its possible so the group number is clear or put the group number before the name.

And just wanted to tell you that a third guild member has turned to nUI as their interface. He did ask if there was a way to get the auras/buffs to appear as per normal wow in the top right corner. Was this gonna be an option at any point ?

lol hey Scott, I had to go reply to the epic complaint about NUI on the forums. I love uneducated 'flamable little insects'. :D (just got out of doing OS 1D, can't stop hearing that damn dragon in my head hee hee.)

Bout to install the latest emergency release and try it out. Had rolled back to first 5.0 for 25 man tonight to be safe and that all checked out pretty well. Only issue is I'd say is to not have the default max aura's at 40 cause DAMN it not only extended past what the screen would show but also caused some intense lag and someone using this 'out of the box' and walking right into a 25 man might get a little frustrated having to ask the raid wait while the dig out the command to change aura's and such (which was my case, no biggie but just a suggestion none the less.).

Also I did noticed a significant increase in memory usage for NUI. 30 to sometimes 35MB while doing OS25 tonight. Now for me, it's not THAT big of a deal since I disable almost EVERY addon I've got cept those needed to raid, while raiding so I've got the buffer space to handle the increased usage. I think though (if you could say yay or nei on this) it is to be expected a bit of increased usage considering the new features in 5.0? Like the new unit frames being able to do 25-40 mans? Actually and when I think about that, if that is the case shouldn't be an issue for others because adding a feature like that means another addon or two people can junk and remove. Those addons stop using memory that NUI can now use? I dunno if I'm making sense. ANyways I'M LOVIN IT GIVE ME MOARRRR

(Pay day is in 2 days! Gonna send another donation!)

Had a chance to put NUI's latest alpha thru it's paces in some Maly 6 min attempts. I forced myself to not use Grid - and after a pull or two I was thrilled!

Couple things that would help tremendously...as a raid healer I really would like to see groups together in the unit frames. Especially as a healer with the incoming changes to group heals I use, making them castable on targetable parties. Also, the numeric values on the health bars sometimes obscure the health defecits. To make it easier I used the HP lost function but I would prefer to just turn off the numeric value. And last, my own Unit Frame is different from the others in that the health bar is not as large. It would be a huge help to have it be the same as the others if that can be managed. Not saying I darn near died becuse it is small or anything >.> <.< :-)

Also, not sure why it was happening, but occasionally a targeted frame would remain green or red, as in this SS:

An /nui rl fixed it when it did happen.

Oh yeah I forgot to suggest that as well I think. Thanks Beatific! I as well would like to really see the layout reflect the grouping that the raid tab would show. It can be very helpful especially when healing is necessary.

Once the unit frames go into 25 and 40 mode it switches myself and my target frames to be nearly as small and identical to the entire raid group frames. If there is a way to some how make myself and my target frames a bit more similar, detailed, and noticable as in 10 man ect it would be VERY helpful.

Example: I'm dps for now, so I'm not concerned about the health of others in my raid (generally not, but continue to do brief glances to check since I can heal and am expected to as a back up occassionally) but like I just stated I CAN HEAL and clearly seeing my own health status is VERY important especially in cases when i'm not getting the healing I need and I've got the ability to heal myself to save the healers some trouble. With how miniscule my own portrait frame is now it's impossible for me to quickly identify who is me in the frames right away and that I'm in need of self healing urgently!

I can understand there not being a reasonable way to intergrate the exact self and target frames as large and detailed as in smaller groups but something or really anything just a bit more obvious and clear than what it is now would help BIG TIME.

:D

still LOVE it!

nUI announcements...

Hello all…

As everyone’s probably noticed, I’ve been pretty low profile the last few days… I’ve been way busy trying to move nUI to the next level which means I needed to get all of the infrastructure in place to be able to support you properly. With that in mind, I have two announcements to make about nUI…

First, I’m really pleased to say that nUI has received featured artist status at WoWInterface.com – my sincere thanks to Cairenn and all for the recognition and the support for this project. I do see it as both an honor and a privilege… I promise to treat it accordingly. Part and parcel with that news, nUI now has its own forum on WoWInterface… you can find it at http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=86 – I’ll be working over the next couple of days to get the forum organized and set up some stickies, etc. I’m all ears for input what you would like to see on the forum. I also invite you to join us there and contribute to the nUI community.

Second, nUI’s official web site is up and running. I still have features to add and work to do, but the core of the site is in place. You can find it at http://www.nUIaddon.com – as with the forums, I’ll be working over the next couple of days to finish rounding out the site and adding the nUI subscriber/member features. As with the forums, I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions for the web site as well.

As always, I thank you all for your support.

Please visit nUI's support forum...

In the interest of trying to get things more organized, I'm closing this thread to new posts and asking everyone to please visit the new nUI support forum

http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=86

Many thanks...
