You shouldn't have to do that -- lemme see if I can reproduce it.

Also... it's *much* easier if you attach your screen shots to your messages rather then embedding them in the message as you did... just click the paperclip icon in the message editor, or scroll down the page to the "Manage Attachments" button, to attach a screen shot to the message. That's a full resolution image I can zoom, etc... it makes it much easier to see.

also the buffs and debuffs are way to high in the midle of the screen

It looks to me like something has changed in scaling... I haven't been able to log in yet, but I'll look as soon as I can.

What happens if you exit WoW and rename your WTF folder to WTF.saved ??

It appears to be on Blizzard's end. Even with no addons, whenever I try to adjust my resolution I'm not getting ANY changes whatsoever, 1900 x 1080 is the exact same as 720 x 576 for me.

spiel2001 11-16-10 12:35 PM

Okay... I've gotten logged in... so far I have not been able to reproduce it. It sounds to me like it may be related to custom screen settings. I'm not sure.

Are you using a custom skin with nUI?

spiel2001 11-16-10 12:39 PM

What happens if you disable all mods except nUI itself?

Let's take a look and see if there's a conflict between nUI and another mod?

Klypto 11-16-10 12:45 PM

Just reposting this because I edited my post without seeing your new ones.

Basically any adjustments whatsoever don't adjust my configurations, so I believe it's on Blizzard's end.

I disabled all addons, and when I tried to go from 1900x1080 resolution down to 760x576 I got absolutely NO changes. Here's my screenshots:

With nUI, my menu is open for comparison of the drastic size. (I've never seen it that small)

Here's without nUI, at my maximum settings, the ones I usually play at. Note you may not be able to tell, but they're still small for me:

Now here it is with the lowest settings available to me:

Okay... there's long been issues with trying to resize the display while nUI is open. If you resize the display and do a '/nui rl' -- does that fix it?

Those last two screenshots were without any addons on my toon at the time, so I tried reloading the UI and it didn't do me anything = /

I'm not sure what changing the resolution is supposed to do for you... it does not normally change the size of screen elements, only their clarity... the higher the resolution, the better the quality of the rendered world albeit at a penalty in graphics performance.

If you want to change the size of screen elements, you should be using the "UI Scale" slider on the "Advanced" page of the video settings menu.

Whattamattau 11-16-10 01:51 PM

ok soon as i logged in... logged out and checked the load out of date and logged in i had this same problem.....

all i had to do to fix this on mine was to goto options/video/advanced and click the UI Scale box as it was now unchecked.... everything back to normal... sortof but that will be its own thread =P

I am guessing that this has something to do with it.

"The default UI Scale has been altered so it will be set at a 1:1 pixel/texel ratio. This will result in a smaller UI appearance for higher resolution monitors.
"

That is from the 4.0.3 patch notes.

nui is preventing me from using the smoke flares in the blizz raid frame i get the popup saying "nui has been blocked from an action only available to the blizzard ui. you can disable this addon and reload the ui {disable}{ignore}"

hmm sounds like another secure frames change. I will check it out and confirm.

Edit: Well, unless they changed something in the base blizz addon api in the last patch I can't see anything to do with the new raid frames flare ability ( World Markers ) being in the restricted environment.

From the 4.0.3 patch notes under "User Interface":
