The auto scale change

Ok, so I use the carbonite map like a mini map. It suits my need and gives me added data that I can scroll in and out on to whatever depth I need and the map is a bit bigger than the original. I resetup my UI as some settings were causing issues with addons and one of the things I had set was that when tracking a quest the map scale would not change. I would get the little ant trail and all but it would stay at the zoom level I prefer, I have looked for a couple weeks for the setting and can not find it again.

I know there used to be a checkbox in the settings that told carbonite to not change the map scale period and my settings are the same as my wife's carbonite yet the scale changes on mine and hers does not.

if you right click on the map, under scale there is autoscale min and autoscale max, setting those both to the same number should stop the autoscaling.

nope that doesn't do it either, I swear there was an option in the map section or quest section that said "don't change map scale"

Probably reload an old version and look at it to refresh my memory

im not sure if this what your talking about, but, around the map frame there is a "x" to close the map altogether but just to the left of that there is a check box that willl scale the map to fit both your position and the quest your tracking OR your current goto target

Hi,

there is also the option to save your map scale and when it changes to restore it to the saves value. This is what I do to keep the zoom level I want.

The one on the map that has a checkbox was it. It's an "auto scale" setting, checking it lets the map automatically scale when you have selected a quest or are tracking something and unchecking it lets the map always stay the same size.

You can set a key bind for this. Just open the default Blizzard key binding interface and scroll down to the Carbonite heading. Then set a bind for "Restore saved map scale". Of course, you have to first set the map to the scale you want, right click it, then "Save Map Scale" in the menu, else setting the key bind will do nothing.
