I do not know. I have seen RDX around the WoW world (mostly through the videos that Fura the Curse GM makes). The biggest thing I like about RDX is the Raid Frames. If someone could code a RDX look alike RaidFrame that works with CTRaidAssist/oRa I would be very happy.

RDX is payware? Someone actually wants money for an AddOn? Interesting. The only thing I think that will do is hinder any widespread adoption of said AddOn when there are some great free options.

The man developing RDX is not hoping to make a living off of it. RDX has become so popular lately, why wouldn't he want to try and make some extra cash selling it? All the major guilds in wow use this mod, anyone would try and make cash off of it.

As for And of course, I know you guys can code it even better then him :), I highly doubt.

Someone should report that to Blizzard.
I doubt they would be happy about it that people are making money with their game (as they dont tolerate gold farmers, etc).

Stop. They are selling a membership to their website. Any website can charge a membership fee, and the users can accept to pay for it or not. The old version of RDX is fully available, and inevitably a version will be leaked at some point.

He's not doing anything illegal.

Blizzard can't stop people from charging for WoW addons for the same reason Apple can't stop people from writing Macintosh software. It is the EXACT SAME relationship between developer, user, and platform.

Well, I can't see what the big deal is, that UI doesn't look all that special to me.

Elador 11-01-06 06:38 PM

Well it is, believe me :) On the screenshot above you can only see an old rdx5 version. But the new beta blows everything away. Too bad the author requires you to subscribe and pay, but it's worth it at least to test the beta and upcoming release.

Enough. If Blizzard doesn't like it, that is between Blizzard and RDX. Flame wars aren't tolerated on this board. I know this thread isn't one yet, but it will be soon, so I'm just stopping it before it starts.
