OpenRDX 7.4.0 RC1 available

Hello everyone,

The new version 7.4.0 RC1 is available. (RC for Release Candidate)
This version is working with the new 3.3 patch.

There are so many improvements, I don't know where to start.

New main panel
Dynamic User Interface concept
Roster Selector (raidframes, raidpetframes, arenaframes ...)
VFL Profiler

And many new features, chatframes, minimap, etc ...

Unfortunately, there are still many work to do to respond to all yours requests. I will add more stuff in the coming day with RC 2.

I have droped all old OOBE packages. New ones are coming.
The new Konyagi_DUI is also coming.

Enjoy
Sigg

Can you comment on what is going to be required to port current windows to the new version?

+1
Guys, it maybe fine for you when you tweak your UI step by step, build by build using SVN builds, but it just HEADACHE to fix something with no info from 7.3.2 to 7.4

What means alphanumerical names? -.- Wiki doesn't help me :\ I can't use "i" letters and so on?
Alot of built-in frames do not work for me either. Not sure where to look for examples.
Getting error (about alphanumerical) trying to create window named "AAA" O.o

Alphanumeric means that you can only use letters A-Z and numbers 0-9. I don't know why it would be throwing an error for "AAA" though...

Can you try with the last fix in SVN?

Thanks sigg

You are killing me Sigg. Can you not write a CHANGELOG ? I mean, I can see the cosmetic changes, but the inner changes may be of more value. Specifically: is there a way to diable your DUI ? It is overbearing, pretentious and just plain annoying to look at in my view.

Thanks.

Agreed. Also a way to disable chat-frame-breaking would be nice.

i dont know what to say ...
yes, the 7.4.x releases are not perfect and bugfree, and maybe sigg should not have released them via the "normal" download way, or at least flag it as alpha/beta so you know that you are dealing with an unfinished product, but he is doing very good work here.
for my part, i generaly use the latest svn-builds and am aware that upgrading to a new build can completely break everything, but thats a risk i can and am willing to take, so please keep up your great work here sigg and dont get upset by all those users who are unhappy with the 7.4 RC releases.

Question with the latest SVN, 265 I think it is, I just updated it a moment ago.

I noticed it completely disabled the blizzard UI, but I am unable to find the option to not do this. Is there anyway to do that? I do not use the RDX minimap or action bars, just the windows. I like the streamlined menu of the 7.4.x version over the move-able menu of the 7.3.3 and would rather keep using the SVN version, but not at the expense of my action bars and minimap.

No, Sigg removed the ability to disable that "feature". What you need to do is comment out everything in RDX\Desktops\BlizzardFullDisable.lua and then just disable individual elements manually.

hi ho hi ho it's off to editing I go.

Thanks much.

A new panel has been created, so you can select what you wish to disable.
