Whats your resolution?

What resolution do you play WoW? whether its for look or its for performance. I want to post a UI for the people I just want to know what resolution is most popular.

Obviously i wont put all reso's up. ;)

I voted 1680x1050, but my system actually is dual monitors. I only run WoW on the widescreen, as my 2nd monitor is a 1600x1200 - great for watching videos and browsing the web while playing games on the widescreen. :)

using 2x 1920x1080 for my 2 accounts :D

1440x900, pretty damn small. :(

However, I would say it would be best to make your resolution to fit on any 16:10 resolution (preferably the highest you can get on your monitor), so that it will fit any other 16:10 resolution fairly well, as most people these days seem to use 16:10 monitors. You could also make 16:9 and 4:3 versions if you really wanted to, which would cover everyone (of course, those with smaller or larger resolutions than what you picked may have to change a thing or two here, but overall it will be fine).

I have 20 inch monitor and play with 1600x900 but there is no such choice :p

pHishr 06-01-10 03:35 PM

1920x1080

But I used to run a 1280x1024 which I didn't think was small at the time but woah, I did not know that monitor was so small :P

Politig 06-01-10 03:58 PM

I roll with 1280x1024. I know, it's small. Someone donate me some money and I'd LOVE to pick up a 1600x1050.

Petrah 06-01-10 05:02 PM

1680x1050 widescreen for my main monitor, and a 1280x1024 for Firefox/Thunderbird and running RAWR while raiding. Not sure if I will upgrade the secondary one since there's nothing wrong with it and it serves it's purpose for the moment. :)

Currently playing on a 15' Samsung Laptop; I didn't want a screen so big that It would drain my power while I'm playing w/o the laptop plugged in. While there's a buttload of UIs made for 1600+ resolutions, a simple tweak or two can make them work on 1300s ;D

Xarl 06-01-10 06:58 PM

Running 2 x 1680x1050

1 for the Game and one for my stuff i use and do on the side.

I second the above. Most of the off the shelf LCD's are 16:10 these days.

Shazzi 06-26-10 09:00 AM

I run with 1920x1080 wide on my 23 inch

Mechrior 06-27-10 03:41 AM

I cant see my res there..... I play at 3840x1200

used to play at 1920x1080 though

ashankt 06-27-10 05:42 AM

1280x1024 - a small but still useful 17" monitor, I'll upgrade soon enough but right now it's plenty :)

p3lim 06-27-10 09:34 AM

Have 2x 1920x1200 (3840x1200), but I only use one monitor for WoW.

Actually, you have to search quite well if you want to get a 16:10 screen where I live.

Taryble 06-27-10 10:11 AM

16:10 is close enough to 16:9 in resolution that something designed for 8:5 will generally work on 16:9 with very little tweaking, I'd think.

Edit: Err, and of course, 16:10 = 8:5. Didn't notice I'd done that.

maurdr 06-27-10 11:42 AM

16:10 montiors are really hard to find where i live the closest im able to get is 1920x1080 currently using my 17in laptop monitor for WoW which is 1920x1200 and a 25in 1920x1080 has a few dead pixels which is why i dont play on it. im getting a 34in lcd tv soon so that will take the place of the 25in and be used to play WoW on.
