I can't start it.
Hi Nulkris,
(this time in the proper thread) After patch 2 it's still not working for me, I'm afraid ... sorry to bug you with that. It seems I'm the only one who has this kind of problem. Maybe it's my german windows messing something up. I don't know. .NET 2 beta 2 and 1.1 is both installed, without any errors. Quote:

More Info Please
Sorry I didn't reply in the previous thread, I have been thinking about it, but have no conclusions from the information you provide. I will have to go through and check any globalisation assumptions I may have made, but it would help if you could provide any further information. You don't get a .NET JIT error at all? Maybe you need to install the language pack from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en, although it does not have German available :( Let me know how you go.

hmm I might be a bloody beginner when it comes to debugging and stuff, but I've downloaded the WinDbg Tool from Microsoft.
This is what I'm getting on debugging: (don't know if that makes any sense to you) <EDIT> I've tried installing it on my other Win2K machine - the same error. seems to be a problem with running an english .NET 2 Framework ? *clueless* Code:
CommandLine: D:\wow_dev\wowuides\wowuides.exe |
I installed it last night, followed instructions (almost) exactly on an English Windows XP machine.
Only part I skipped was Windows Installer 3.0, as I had Windows Installer 3.1 installed already. I know there's a "Multilanguage" version of Windows Installer 3.1...not that it may fix your issue though. No Event Log application messages about the error? |

Hi,
I am attaching a very small application to this message that you can try to run. It is basically a hello world program that will let me see whether your .NET 2 is installed properly and will run a program at all. Let me know how you go with it. Nulk |
The HelloWorld example worked just fine on my XP box.

Good. Ok go back to the wowuides directory and remove/rename the wowuides.exe.manifest and wowuides.exe.config files that are there. See if it will start then (maybe replace the .config file if it doesn't).
