nUI minimap disable?

If I dont want the minimap in the bottom right hand corner of my nUI, I like the one blizzard put in, can I get rid of the nUI one? /minimap seems to be for toggling off and on the blizz one.

/nui minimap is what you want

Dameris 08-17-09 05:24 PM

That only turned off the blizzard minimap. I want to do away with the one that comes with nUI. Is there something other than typing /nui minimap I should be doing to make that work? The nUI one is still active in that panel when I turn on the blizzard one.

Are you talking about the minimap that's in the nUI info panel? If that's the case, then click the "AddOns" button at the character selection screen and turn of the "nUI_Minimap" plugin.

That's the one I mean. Thanks! I was thinking you had integrated it more into nUI or something and that it wasnt in the addons area anymore. I'll have a look again though.

hmmm not seeing that when I go in there. I have nUI+

I think the full name of it is "nUI_InfoPanel_Minimap" -- that's the plugin that puts the minimap in the information panel. If you don't see that in your list of addons, do me a favor and take a screenshot of the minimap in the position you're trying to get it out of and post it here... you can use the "Manage Attachments" button on the message editor page to upload it to the forum with your reply to this post (just scroll down the reply page)

I'm thinking the op means the battlegrounds map that's in the infopanel by default. Not the regular tracking etc. minimap.

spiel2001 08-18-09 05:01 AM

Ah... that could be.

And if that's the case, I *think* you can force it off so even nUI wont be able to show it by using Ctrl+M or Shift+M which is the default hotkey to toggle it.

Or you could just click the red "Map" button to switch to another info panel

~smile~

Dameris 08-18-09 12:37 PM

Yeah, it's the one that's in the info panel where recount and omen and all that can be attached to. Shift M turned it off but the minimap red button is still there the box is just empty. I am trying to help another user get it set up how he wants it and he wanted it removed rather than just clicking past it. He'll live if it's not completely removable. I just wondered if there was a way to do it. He just prefers the blizz one over the nui one.

spiel2001 08-18-09 12:54 PM

Why would you want to remove it? If it's not visible, it's not using any resources or anything. Just ignore it.

neuralassassin 08-18-09 01:01 PM

go to your nui folder in nui>layouts>default>infopanels>nUI info_panel battlefield minimap.lua go down to line 102 and change (enabled = true) to false that should do it for ya

Dameris 08-18-09 01:11 PM

Yeah, I know what you mean Scott. I just said I'd try to find out. Like I said, it's not a big deal. He can live with it the important thing is that he can turn on the blizz one regardless. and thanks also for that code change suggestion Neural, I'll check that out too.
