Did you click the InfoPanel button at the bottom left of the infopanel to change what is displayed?

Note: For the dual stats plugin to work, you must install the nUI_InfoPanel_DualStats as well as install Recount (Preservation) and Omen3

Alternatively, you can install just Skada.

Yeah -- as far as I'm concerned, Skada is the hands down winner between Recount/Omen and Skada -- especially since the 3.3 patch and cross realm raiding.

Scott - mind giving insight as to why, exactly? I tried Skada for a while - it's lightweight, which is nice. But the numbers I found to not be totally close to those running Recount (aggro numbers compared to omen are all relative so not a huge deal), and found Recount to be more accurate.

Thanks!

Skada, iirc, was having a problem shortly after 3.3 was released and has been updated since then.

Recount, AFAIK, talks to others who have it installed as well. Might be wrong about that.

Not sure if Skada does the same. But if everybody in the raid runs Recount then it will most likely give a better report compared to skada.

Also keep in mind that both have a "range" and if you are to far away from others Recount/skada won't have data on the out of range people.

Also, Skada uses a bit different way to determine when a fights starts/stops so that can impact the numbers as well. In that regard neither is wrong, just a different "point of view".

That's all AFAIK/IIRC stuff so...

The argument about which is right is like debating if macaroni or noodles make better pasta. Or debating the religious argument of Mac versus PC, Windows versus Linux, etc.

Even when running Recount, the number are different between any two players. Also, last I saw, Recount was having some serious issues with accuracy with cross realm players in instances.

That said, the point of a DPS meter is to determine your performance relative to your "normal" performance and relative to the other party members. While every DPS meter has issues with accuracy in calculating the DPS of other party members, they're all pretty good at calculating your own DPS. And that's the rub... your DPS number will not match what any other player thinks your DPS number is.

In the end, Skada will not give the same numbers that Recount gives -- ever... but that doesn't mean it is any less accurate or less useful. Once you know what your DPS should look like using Skada, then you also know when your DPS is off and when it is improving and that is, after all, the whole point. Whether or not that number is the same number Recount would have given is not relavent to that.

Given all of that, the fact that Skada can do this in a much smaller footprint while also replacing Omen, also in a smaller footprint... well, yeah... it begins to be an open and shut case imo.

Welll skada may be lighter as you point out I'm afraid I feel the same way as Marthisdil in that the numbers just seem horribly off to me, now that could be because everyone in my guild runs recount and if they talk to each other as was stated that would account for the difference. As far as the cross realm problems both skada and recount have been updated to address those issues. But again like you said I do believe it is a simple preference and having used recount for so long I just feel more comfortable with it and its numbers especially since most people I know use it as well.
