Memory leak

Idk what's going on, but I just tried out nUI+ after not having used it in about a year. I remember nUI being extremely lightweight (around 1 MB usage iirc) on the resources and covering most of your UI needs, albiet while taking up a third of your screen. While it still takes up a third of your screen now, there seems to be a slight(ly massive) memory leak going on with it. The memory usage for nUI seems to climb to just under 30 MBs, then drop down to 15 MBs, then start climbing again. Here's a screenshot just after it dropped to about 15 MBs.

Until we figure out what's causing that and fix it, I don't think I'll use nUI for the time being. My laptop struggles with un-modded WoW enough without an addon noming on my RAM. :P

That's not a memory leak. It's called garbage collection. ;)

Blizzard changed how the garbage collector works which has caused nUI's apparent memory usage to increase. However, it has nothing to do with performance (almost nothing). Even at 30meg, it's a trivial amount of memory.

All of that said, the change in the garbage collector function and the impact it has had is part of the reason why I'm rewriting nUI.
