Finally found a workable 'solution' (see
http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=41866 ) - Instructions on exactly what to edit in the Carbonite.lua - HOWEVER...
Search for '120327', then change it to '130327' and the 'pretty old' message in WoW goes away. Just remember you did this, so that you can occasionally come check for a newer version on your own!
