It already does that and it is on by default. If a quest says it has an item, Carbonite puts a button that looks like the item to the left of the quest name in the Quest Watch List.
A few quests were not changed by Blizzard to indicate they have an item.
Click the left button on the Watch List title bar, select Options and make sure "Item button scale (0 hides)" is set to 10.
