For something a little more feature intensive, there was an addon that worked with AtlasLoot... Though I can't seem to find it atm. (AtlasLoot itself has a wishlist feature on its to-do list.)

Thanks for the reply. I gave it a try and it still wasn't quite what I needed. I was able to install RestockShop with TradeSkillMaster and TSM_Item Tracker and get it to somewhat help. The shopping list doesn't tell me which alt needs the item, but it at least tells me the item is on the shopping list in the tooltip when hovering.
Would be nice if Altoholic had a wish list/shopping list component.
