The Cyrillic alphabet, however, came very much in handy when I was 12 and didn't want my brother to read my diary (again) and tell everyone which boy I had a crush on (again)... good luck reading this as a 10-year-old white boy in rural America:
I can still read Russian (okay, maybe not that example, or cursive in general very well) but I can't tell you want most of it means...
