The points of interest that are known, are displayed. The problem is it doesn't know them all, which is what JimJoBlue has been working on, adding the ones that are missing based on the wowhead information (which reminds me need to comment in that thread on something).
Other things like the yellow gathering nodes, or battle pets do not go across and can't go across.
