If devs aren't allowed to ask for donations, then why does a certain other dev send emails to people asking for donations to meet a goal of monetary value. In each email it has the % of how close he is to his goal. I'm not gonna mention what addon or dev it is but i think most of us know.

Devs are not allowed to make donating a condition of having the addon. They aren't allowed to code the addon itself to ask for donations. They
are allowed to ask for donations outside of the game.
