There is a good chance Blizzard will add the quest location on map feature they attempted to add in the last patch. I expect we will see it in Cataclysm. If so, then we will mostly likely collect that data into our database or maybe just record it on the fly as people quest. A big challenge will be to fix everything on the two continents that they are massively changing (map, POI, gather data).
We shall see when the beta starts.
