even more strange is that your errors reference carbonite 5.3.1 a1r1.. I could of sworn I updated the toc to say a1r2.
not sure how much effort i'll put into NPCScan compatibility anymore now that it's discontinued... guess it depends how much need there is for it.

I thought it was strange that it showed a1r1 as well so I checked my .toc and see this:
