The idea with that was to have an info bar like titanpanel or fubar but nUI's own version if I remember rightly
I'm in the process of creating simple buttons for my nUI plugins that can be placed there to use the space up but then there are different skins that don't have that space there at all so it's just dependant on which skin you are using.
