Personally, I think it would just be easier to convert Recount's GuessedAbsorbs module to Skada's formatting, and use Skada instead, if the guessed absorbs is the only reason you prefer Recount.
And really, that conversion would likely only be rearranging the input and output of the functions to match what Skada gives/expects.
