I'm gonna hijack this question and answer it in my own way
I use a simple SetBackdrop call through the LUA. More simply put, I use a certain chunk of code to add a backdrop/border to almost any addon, which is always perfect
ALso, I'm about 99% sure Led uses kgPanels. Or at least they used to, until a certain thread happened to catch their attention
