Hmm, it is possible I never actually tried it.
When I returned, I still had my old addon directory as a reference and downloaded updates to all the ones I wanted to carry over. When I searched for Examiner, the results were only the original mod that was last updated years ago, and a fan-update during WoD. But it must not have been Examiner I was searching for at that time since these are not the results I get now when I search "Examiner" among addons on this site.
So I have no idea where I got the idea that Examiner did not work in Legion, nor what addon I am confusing those results for.
