If you are on Windows and have more than one language enabled in Text Services and Input Languages (specifically at least one with a US keyboard and one with some EU keyboard I guess), then the default key combination "Left Alt + Shift" will change the keyboard layout. And this is not an uncommon combination in WoW if you play a lot with keys for combo or self casting for instance.
