I went to Carbonite Options > Map Minimap and set "Minimap herb/ore dot glow delay (0 is off)" to 0. And the problem stopped instantly and completely!

So yeah, I did do that. Thanks though!! I'm just hoping they can fix this issue because I do like having my harvesting nodes flash at me, but not ALL my icons!
