Thank you all-- it means a lot to me and every Veteran here.
Two of the hardest things I ever did; watching my brother take his last breath in my arms and saying "make it home to tell my family I fought bravely", and handing the flag to a mother as we laid her son to rest.
I will never forget the men and women who stood on the front lines of Iraq with courage and strength. Each day the scars bleed reminding me of the battlefield-- I remember those beside me who grabbed my shoulder and said "we got your back brother."
Most of all-- I thank my family for believing in me even when I shut myself out from the world.
