On a side note, I seriously doubt the ad version was ever expected to generate ad revenue. The only ad in there was an ad for the paid version. Basically it was "Here's the full version with some annoying popups", try it out and if you like it subscribe.

I wish I could find the screenie someone posted on the wow forums of it. It was a simple stationary box at the top of the screen basically stating what you said.
