The eye is not getting moved to the Carbonite button window (like the rest of the icons do), but I do see it - and can interact with it - around the minimap.
I do not have any mods that affect the behaviour of the mini-map, so it's stock.

that's the difference, they have minimap inside the carbonite map instead of it's own seperate one.
