Init hang?

Log on a rarely played toon. the carbonite "splash" screen stays in the upper middle. And performance is very bad. and auto track does not work.
I exit and disable out of date addons. same. exit and disable 3 carbonite addons and performance seems much better.

I am assuming it crashed/went it a loop initially and that is why the splash screen is still up?

The title box freezing probably means some addon code died. A rare error possibly from a corrupted AddOns\Carbonite\Carbonite.lua file or SavedVariables\Carbonite.lua.

Try a reinstall.
Try renaming SavedVariables\Carbonite.lua.
Try disabling all other addons.

reinstalled the newer/today's version
renamed the carbonite.lua
same failure mode - reaaaal slow movement

disabled all but carbonite and no lag.

But I am not sure where to go from here. It is not just a bad addon, all addons except carbonite works. only carbonite works. addons+carbonite doesn't; an interaction I assume.

If the choice is all addons or carbonite, i guess carbonite would have to go. But is there any profiler/logger for addons? Is there nothing left than to enable them a few at a time.
