Anyway to turn that off. It's annoying to the point that I don't care to donate if I am going to be annoyed a few days after install about some changes that aren't essential. Like say putting the Wintergrasp timer on the map since its removed and you block the in game map information.

If you are talking about the message stating there is an upgrade available, then yes you can turn it off. It's in the Options page. I believe it was one of the last items on the left hand pane. I'm not in game at the moment so I'm not 100% positive exactly where it was in the list.
