How to move WoW default floating combat text???

Hi Everyone,

Just one simple question (I hope it's simple)...

How can I change the default positioning of the default floating combat text that appears over my head, in game?

The Problem: Currently, I have the text set to scroll up, which is the way I want it. However, the text starts too low for my liking, thus making the combat text float over my character, hindering my vision of whats happening directly in front of me.

I would like to continue using the default wow combat text, if possible, to do this. But, if getting another addon to accommodate this is necessary, so be it.

I apologize in advance if this has already been covered somewhere, but I did a fair bit of research, so I'm fairly certain it hasn't.

As far as I am aware there isn't a way. Just the options that select the way they are displayed which you have located. As extra addons though the following may be worth looking into:
