Question A little help determining Addons

Hello! I figured I'd come to the community that knows their stuff and ask my newbie questions here if you don't mind.

Here's my currently configured UI with all the addons I currently use: http://www.bluescreentech.com/WoWUI.jpg

My questions:

I have the UI scale shrunk down as low as it can go to give me more screen space, but using CT Unit Frames, on the Party they are so small it's hard to tell when to heal them. Any suggestions on an addon to fix this? I have tried out DUF and can never get it configured the way I like it, I guess I'm just not artistic enough to make it look good and not cause an aneurism.

Down by the bottom bars, I have seen pictures of other peoples UI's that have the chat and combat log down there, and have all the rest of the buttons, etc, squeezed in the middle. I'd like to do this, what do I need to do?

Lastly, I have seen pics of peoples MiniMap's that are Square? I think it looks better but what is the mod, and what functionality does it provide?

Basically I'm trying to get things uncluttered, and though I do like the status bars, if there is any suggestions on something else(Tried ArcHUD and wasn't super happy with it), I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all in advance, and I'll be grateful for any input.

you can use addons to adjust your UI elements individually. then you don't have to rely on a global UI scale.

one such addon is Visor (link to the GUI): http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4577.html

changing your display resolution along with the UI scale can also help you fit more on the screen.

here is a link to a square minimap addon. it's just that, a square minimap. works just like the circle one, just looks different.
