chat covers one of my action bars.

Greetings:

I have encountered a problem with nUI concerning the left trade/guild chat window that has made the bar under the window unuseable without moving the window. Moving the window to uncover it places the top of the window into the aura buffs, so it makes the prospect of moving the window inconvenient, to say the least.

Oh yeah... still can't right-click buffs off. I'm sure you know that, just throwing that out there, I guess... :P

I guess while I am compiling the list of things I think need fixed, one last thing. I was running skada pre patch, and I cannot get a working threatmeter/damage meter split screen working in the right box, and even though this isn't crippling me, the threat box is more what I am concerned with, seeing as how there are new growing pains with tanks right now, and their newness to figuring out the threat management and generation abilities they now have.

Okay... first, make sure you have nUI 5.07.06 (Development) installed -- check which version is printed in the chat frame when you log in. If you have an older version update it to the current one.

Second, Skada, open the Skada configuration window and delete the two nUI Skada windows, then close the Skada configuration window and do a '/nui rl' -- that should fix that problem.

As for the chat frame thing, if you have nUI 5.07.06 (Development) installed you shouldn't have this problem. I'm *guessing* you are running WIM... yes? If you do have the current version and you're not running WIM, but still have this problem, let me know.

And, yeah, the right click thing is known.

Chat no longer covers the action bar. I didn't have the most recent nUI app loaded, so you were right about that.

I think I would rather work with recount/omen. I saw in nUI forums a split up version of both, where what I have now has recount out of combat, and omen in combat. This is a good set up for me as my death knight tank, but not so ideal for my mage. What can be done about that???

You can install both the nUI_InfoPanel_Stats and nUI_InfoPanel_DualStats plugins... use the option to set your addons per character and enable the Stats plugin on your DK and the DualStats plugin on your mage.

OK, I got nUI_InfoPanel_Stats in my add on list, dual stats isn't showing up on the list. What happened, in your judgement?

btw.. other than the right click not removing buff yet, you're doing a damn fine job making nUI even better than prior to the 4.0 patch. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure what the problem might be... if you're downloading and installing both into the same place, it should work. Do you have a nUI_InfoPanel_DualStats folder in your [ Interface > AddOns ] folder?

Yeah, they are both in my add on folder. Dualstats just isn't showing up as an option in game when I use add on panel either at the character menu or in game using addon control panel.

Are you sure you're in the right [ Interface > AddOns ] folder.

Try this as a test...

exit WoW
go to the [ World of Warcraft ] folder
rename [ Interface ] to [ Interface.saved ]
log in to WoW, do you still have an "AddOns" button at the character selection screen?
if you do, you're in the wrong [ World of Warcraft ] folder
if you don't...
exit WoW again
rename [ Interface.saved ] to [ Interface ]
delete [ Interface > AddOns > nUI_InfoPanel_DualStats ]
unzip a fresh copy of [ nUI_InfoPanel_DualStats.1.03.02.zip ] into the [ Interface > AddOns ] folder
log back into WoW
click the AddOns button
does it show up now?

I have no idea what the problem is then... if you followed those directions, it should work. If it doesn't, I haven't the foggiest idea what may have gone wrong.

This possible solution could be a bit extreme, but you could always try moving or removing WoW then reinstalling, this time only installing nUI into the addons - just as a test.
