DAB not loading pre-3.0 settings

Okay, I've looked through all the posts and this doesn't seem to be mentioned.

Longtime Discord user here who is fairly competent when it comes to addons (had to hack the config file by hand a few times). After 1.9 came out, I downloaded DAB 3.0 and installed it. Started up WoW and it didn't see my old settings at all. Does 3.0 not know how to convert older settings to the new format? Prior to 3.0, I had v2.36.

I've played around, trying to get it to read my old settings (I always make backups) and haven't had any luck. This is REALLY going to bite if I have to set things up by hand again.

DAB 3.0 is a total overhaul of DAB from scratch. It can't carry over settings. Sorry.

yeah i had to re set up everything by hand again too, and i dont think you can load the previous ones, because as loz said in the description it is a completely reworked mod written from the ground up. it sucks a little, but after 15 min of config its all gravy and i have my action bars set up just like they were, the only thing that sucks is that i had to replace my abilitys, i am glad i had a screenshot of my setup. now if i could only get the bars to change with my shapeshift modes...

That's why this was at the top of the update's notes:

* BIG WARNING: This is a HUGE update and a re-write from scratch. As usual with my x.0 updates, you will lose all your old settings.

You just gotta read those patch notes.

Yeah, some people are confused.

To set the record straight:
- Patch Notes -- You Read.
- EULAs -- You DON'T Read.

Thanks for the update, but I think I'm going to be switching away from DAB. Just too much trouble to keep setting it up over and over (it's gotten fubarred and lost my settings before).
