WOW Folder Fiile file name : bad.piece

I've noticed that there is a file in the world of warcraft folder call bad.piece;

does anyone know anything about it, what is does and is it needed in the first place?

According to what I found on google, it's safe to delete it. Here's a blue post from the wow-europe forums:
