Minions

What level or when or how do warlocks get minions? I made a new undead warlock an hour ago, got him to level 8 and don't have a minion.I've seen level 1's with them

Voidwalker at lvl 10
Succubus at lvl 20
Felhunter at lvl 30
Inferno at lvl 55
Doomguard at lvl 60
Felguard at lvl 50 (41 points in Demonology)

But I don't know where to go to get an imp.Is it a quest, or do I buy one like a ability?

They are all quests. You get them from your class trainers.
Go to the link I posted and it will tell you all you need to know.

Example: Imp quest :Obtained at level 1. Bring Venya Marthand 3 Rattlecage Skulls.

The infernal can be obtained at level 50, even if the quest says lvl55 (though I wouldn't advise you to fight Kroshius solo at lvl 50
All in all, it's one pet every 10 levels, including the lvl40 mount 'quest'

dont forget you can also summon your mounts so at lvl 40 and 60 you can do the mount quests. the lvl 40 mount is free the epic mount... not so free but if you have a lock in your guild that has the epic mount and still has the gear you can piggyback off of them and have them do the summoning for you, which will save you 250g
