Configure Notepad++ to compile lua and find globals

Based on some forum thread I can't find, I had Notepad++ configured so that I could hit an Fn key and it would save and compile the .lua file in the current window and give me a list of globals so I could check for leaks.

My system disk died and I lost this functionality and I can't seem to find the right search to locate that forum thread again. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?
