Aura events and the debuff limit

When a debuff is lost - either by expiration or removal - an event is fired available to the AddOns to process. Does the same apply to debuffs that have been knocked off due to hitting the debuff limit, or is there no event raised for it? Difficult to test without a raid.

Debuff limit is 40 last time I checked

Mmm, it's indeed 40 - hence making it rather difficult to test.
