Our anticipation will make it all that much better when we are given our keys though.

I was in the mid-600s and received a key last week - many thanks indeed, addons already updated to work...

To those who've not got a key yet can I just prepare you for the 1.5 GB download of the client and the 2.5 GB of patches you need to get from Blizzard's updater - no really you NEED preparation for this...

Read up on how to use your own torrent client and NOT the Blizzard one (it's MUCH faster) - you can even download the patches in advance (check your favourite torrent sites for links) - means you won't spend the 6+ hours I did!!

What is the policy involving those who receive a second beta key for some reason? Say... should someone opt in prior to the addon author key offer, then get in on that author thing and end up getting a key, only to receive another key in his/her inbox weeks later? Is it okay to give the second key away to a friend?

If you got both keys via legitimate means, then yes it's fine.

It must have been from the opt-in process - I don't know where else it could have come from that I participated in. Now the question is which of my 3-4+ RL WoW-playing friends gets the key. Hmm... maybe I should simply let them know that I've got the key and am deciding who should get it, and then they can compete against each other in some way to win my favor? >:-) Suggestions, anyone?

Blizzard appears to have sent out another wave of opt-in keys. Probably not going to receive a key until next week.

I'm hoping that mine gets mailed to Blizzard tonight or tomorrow (#798) and the key comes this week as well. I'm not terribly hopeful, but it would be a nice surprise.

I've got some time off of work next week, which will give me time to play around with the beta and finally code some of the random notes and ideas that I've been putting off.

Oh well, we'll see.
